ASSIGNMENT 1

Project 1: Geometry and Form: Architectural Design Elements & Principles

This project, entitled Expressions through Architecture Design Elements and Principles, aims to introduce fundamental understanding of architectural design elements and principles, processes, and approaches in generating ideas, developing design, and creating geometric 2D artworks (tattoo stamp) and 3D forms (model).

ASSIGNMENT 2

The idea of how architectural design can affect spaces and its users and how one can be a change agent within the context of architecture are both explored in this project.

ASSIGNMENT 3

Project 3: Space and Sensory: Self - Exploration through Spaces [Sensory Space]

In Project 3, we reevaluate the 1:1 framework and transform it into a succession of sensory spaces with total volumetric boundaries of 30m3 (3m3) that anticipate the user's path, experience, and emotion.

The following two questions should be taken into account when creating the final project. How are the perception and appreciation of space influenced by design principles? , How do a space's structure and material composition affect our senses?

THE END

WHAT HAD I LEARNED?

IN ARCHITECTURE DESIGN 1, I HAVE LEARNED HOW TO EXPRESS MYSELF IN DESIGN AS WELL AS LEARN THE ANTOPOMETRY AND THE ERGONOMICS OF THE USAGE OF A SPACE. BY LEARNING FROM THE PAST PROJECTS, I AM ABLE TO EXPRESS MYSELF IN HOW A BUILDING LOOKS LIKE FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, AS WELL AS HOW A MODEL SHOULD BE EXPRESSED AS AN ART, NOT JUST A MERE STRUCTURE THAT CAN BE SEEN AS A PILE OF BRICKS AND MORTAR.

TGC'S I HAVE ACHIEVED

IN ARCHITECTURE DESIGN 1, I ACHIEVED SOME SKILLS CALLED, TAYLOR'S GRADUATE CAPABILITIES. AMONG THEM ARE LIFELONG LEARNING, THINKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS, AND INTRAPERSONAL SKILLS. DURING MY LEARNING JOURNEY, I LEARNED A LT OF TIPS AND SHARPENED MY SKILLS IN DESIGNING, THIS WILL LEAD TO THE FIRST TGC, LIFELONG LEARNING. THE SECOND TGC THAT I HAVE LEARNED IS HOW TO THINK CRITICALLY IN PROBLEM-SOLVING. THIS ENABLES ME TO THINK OF CREATIVE WAYS TO SOLVE A PROBLEM OR EVEN DEVELOP IT MORE. THE LAST TGC THAT I LEARNED FROM THE MODULE IS MY INTRAPERSONAL SKILLS. I LEARN HOW TO ALWAYS BE PATIENT IN DESIGNING AND LOOK AROUND FOR INSPIRATION. THIS METHOD WORKS FOR ME AS I WON'T EXHAUST MYSELF IN THE THINKING STAGE.
